Hyaluronic Acid is a highly hygroscopic polymer that forms a visco-elastic gel on the surface of the skin that prevents water from evaporating, maintaining hydration in the deep layers of the skin (dermis) and promoting water uptake in the skin. superficial layers (epidermis), making it an excellent water reservoir that maintains hydration (long-lasting effect).
