DMAE or DiMethylAminoEthanol is a natural substance with important antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties. It is produced naturally in sardines, salmon and anchovies and in our brain and applied to the skin it penetrates very easily through it since it is a very small molecule. DMAE works by toning or stimulating facial muscles, increasing the hydration and firmness of the skin. DMAE also improves luminosity and elasticity and helps reduce the appearance of expression lines. It is normally used in conjunction with other active ingredients such as retino, vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acids (AHA).
