La forma más sencilla de utilizarlo:
Si vas a empezar a introducir el retinol en tu rutina, asegúrate de empezar con él sólo en tu rutina de noche. Aplícalo sobre la piel limpia y seca antes de tu hidratante - si tu piel es sensible, puedes aplicar una fina capa de crema hidratante antes del retinol o incluso verter un par de gotas de este sérum en tu hidratante habitual cuando la tengas en la mano para que tu piel se acostumbre poco a poco.
Porque sí, la piel pasa por un proceso de habituarse al retinol llamado retinización. En este proceso puedes sentir un poco de sequedad, tirantez, descamación... es algo totalmente normal, y es la razón por la que te aconsejamos que empieces a utilizarlo al principio solo de noche, poco a poco, y contando con una hidratante que refuerce la función barrera sobre tu piel.
Recuerda:
- Comienza por aplicarlo un día a la semana. Será suficiente si nunca lo has utilizado y tu piel no está acostumbrada a él. - Siempre, siempre tendrás que aplicar protector SPF50+ a la mañana siguiente. - No combines exfoliación, ácidos o peelings con retinol ni en la misma rutina ni durante las primeras semanas en las que lo estés introduciendo. Si eres principiante, tu piel te lo agradecerá.
- Reforzar la función barrera de tu piel cuando usas retinol siempre es una buena idea.
Después de aproximadamente un mes de uso regular sólo de noche, según la tolerancia de tu piel, podrás empezar a aumentar la frecuencia de aplicación durante la semana hasta utilizarlo en días alternados. Llegado el momento, también podrás utilizarlo de día (si no vas a exponerte al sol de manera directa) pero siempre, siempre con protector solar del SPF50+,
