Is this product an essence or a toner?
In the past, tonics were alcohol-based and used to remove insoluble residues left after cleansing the skin with regular soap. They were alcohol-based because their function was to further degrease the skin. Fortunately, modern cleansers rarely contain soap, so it is not necessary to use an alcohol-based tonic. This gave us an opportunity to create moisturizing tonics enriched with a multitude of beneficial ingredients that soothe and restore the skin's natural barrier after washing. Essences are like watery serums, full of beneficial ingredients. Nectar contains 14 key ingredients with soothing and moisturizing properties.
Should I use this product before or after exfoliants?
We recommend that you always use exfoliants on clean, dry skin and then follow up with any additional moisturizer or hydrating product. This is because you do not want to alter the acidic pH of the exfoliants, and also because damp skin acts like a sponge, which can make the exfoliant more irritating.
Will adding a serum with moisturizing properties be too much for my skin if I already use a serum or moisturizer?
Essences are never a necessary step that one must absolutely do every day. They are simply a good addition if you are struggling with dehydration and feel that you really need more water content in your skin. Essences rich in humectants are wonderful for attracting and binding water to the skin without the weight of a more occlusive product. Oily and combination skin prone to dehydration generally love them.

Why does the skin need a rich essence in moisturizers similar to those of the skin (natural moisturizing factors)?
First of all, it is necessary to understand what dehydration is. It is a condition of superficial dry skin due to moisture loss.
After facial cleaning, the skin needs to restore lost moisture because dehydrated skin is more prone to inflammation, irritation and clogged pores. In addition, after cleaning the pH of the skin rises, so it is necessary to restore the optimal pH (5.5) in which we retain the barrier function.
Skintegra Nectar is the second very important step in the care of all skin types, since it instantly restores the lost surface humidity and to the maximum its evaporation of the skin, thus improving the barrier function.
The complex composed of fourteen intensive moisturizers of different molecular sizes is combined with the soothing action of plant components of natural origin. The juicy extracts of aloe vera, ginseng, cucumber and olive leaf are combined with urea, hyaluronic and lactic acid, as well as amino acids that belong to natural moisturizing ingredients.
In addition to hydrating the skin, more than a regular tonic, Skintegra Nectar reduces the negative effects of hard water (generally urban). Skintegra Nectar acts as a chelating agent that joins the metal ions found in hard water. These metal ions react with the fatty acids of the tallow and thus form an insoluble layer on the skin. The Skintegra Nectar's effect prevents the formation of these insoluble complexes, making the skin softer and more clean.
