Skiintegra Retiron 0.05 is an emulsion with 0.05% encapsulated retinal, fortified with niacinamide, three essential ceramides and their precursors, antioxidants, panthenol and madecassoside.
Retiron 0.05 prevents the appearance of comedones and pimples and accelerates their healing with a preventive effect on premature signs of aging.
WHAT IS RETINAL?
Retinal (or retinaldehyde) is a precursor to retinoic acid (vitamin A) that has been shown, through clinical trials, to have multiple effects on acne and premature skin aging. It is the strongest retinoid available without a prescription, and acts even 11 times faster than retinol. The encapsulated form of retinal (meaning the active ingredient is in a protective 'shell' and is activated on contact with the skin) allows for sustained release of the active ingredient with fewer side effects and maximum preservation of its effectiveness.
Continued use of Retiron 0.05 helps depigment (treats hyperpigmentation and post-inflammatory spots), improves acne and comedones, reduces the depth of wrinkles and leaves the skin firmer, smoother and with narrower pores.
The Retiron 0.05 formula has been additionally enriched with a combination of ingredients that restores barrier function and supports retinal in a way that further reduces the irritant potential of the product. Niacinamide, the three essential ceramides and their precursors and panthenol reduce irritations and preserve the barrier function, while madecassoside, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E moisturize, prevent skin dryness and provide antioxidant protection.
Additionally, honeysuckle and cloudberry plant extracts have strong anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, and contain omega fatty acids that further strengthen the skin's barrier function and help retain moisture and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
The emulsion has a quickly absorbed hydrating texture and can be used alone or in combination with hydrating serums, neutral nourishing creams and oil boosters, depending on skin type.
"RETINIZATION"
When introducing retinal into your skin care routine, it is possible to experience a temporary process of adaptation to the ingredient that can last approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Specifically, retinoids increase the dynamics of cell renewal to prevent the appearance of (micro)comedones that precede inflammatory acne, but they also have restorative and preventive properties on the visible signs of aging (hyperpigmentation, wrinkles). Its action can temporarily cause peeling, irritation and acne, so we advise you to start using the product twice a week.
