Is Superba C moisturizing enough to use on its own?
Superba C is not primarily a hydrating serum, but rather focuses on brightness and repair. It has a very light texture and is quickly absorbed. You can use it before our serum emulsions or treatment creams, but it certainly cannot replace the emollient and nourishing properties of a moisturizer.
Is it better to take Superba C in the morning or at night?
Both options are great, but ideally you should use it in the morning. This form of vitamin C (10% sodium ascorbyl phosphate or SAP) is not photosensitizing and helps the skin protect itself from the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) against exogenous stressors such as UV radiation. We highly recommend combining the Superba C serum with our Solar I fluid, which has a high sun protection factor.
Should this serum be cloudy (whitish) or transparent? I noticed that its opacity varies...
Yes, this is a perfectly normal and expected feature of this serum. The ingredients in Superba C simply react to room temperature. When the environment is warm enough, the ingredients cause the formula to become slightly cloudy, but if you refrigerate it, it will return to a completely clear texture.
Why is the expiration date of Superba C so short?
If you compare accredited cosmetic manufacturers with professional lines of vitamin C serum, you will notice an overlap in the short shelf life of highly concentrated vitamin C serums. These expiration dates are really short because vitamin C loses its potency over time, and the manufacturer guarantees its customers not only the microbiological stability of the product but also the stability of the vitamin C in the formulation. As vitamin C degrades in a product, its effect is no longer complete, meaning a product that is still microbiologically sound simply no longer has the required efficacy. For this reason, vitamin C in professional lines, depending on the form used and the concentration of vitamin C, generally has a short expiration date, that is, certainly much shorter than that suggested by the product's microbiological testing.

The vitamin C shape that is found in the Superba C serum is the Ascorbil Sodium phosphate, better known as the SAP (sodium ascorbyl phosphate). It is the form of extremely safe, stable and soluble vitamin C.
SAP is a powerful antioxidant, very effective in clarifying the unequal and tired tone. At the same time, it keeps radiant and clean skin.
SAP reduces oxidative stress of the skin caused by environmental factors, such as UV radiation and air pollution, which causes microscopic damage to the skin that accumulate over time. This accumulation of skin damage, as well as the reduction of collagen production, are considered as signs of aging.
In addition to its antioxidant action, the SAP also acts as a melanin inhibitor, so it is particularly important as a cosmetic component that fights hyperpigmentation caused by solar rays (such as melasma) and post -inflammatory pigmentation.
Apart from the high concentration of the SAP, the formula that includes ferulic acid and vitamin E is what differentiates Superb C from classic vitamin C seros. This combination of complementary and excellently investigated ingredients is the indispensable part of the best vitamin C serum due to its exceptional antioxidant and photoprotective action. The use of vitamin C + vitamin E + ferulic acid in the morning, under SPF products, will increase the protective properties of sunscreen during sun exposure.
