HOW TO USE
In the morning or evening, after cleansing, moisten a cotton pad with 5-6 drops of Clear Skin Tonic and spread over the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye and lip area.
Next, apply your preferred Alpha-H night serum or moisturizer at night, or a moisturizer and SPF in the morning.
If your skin is sensitive or not used to accelerating acids, Clear Skin Tonic should be introduced gradually starting twice a week and increasing daily use if necessary.
It can be used on other areas of the body where breakouts occur, such as the back, neck and décolleté.
We recommend using Clear Skin Tonic in conjunction with the Alpha-H Clear Skin range for best results.

MUCH MORE THAN A LIQUID EXFOLIATOR WITH BHA
It is ideal for those people who suffer from skin congestion caused by excess sebum and/or bacteria. Clear Skin Tonic with 2% BHA works gently to decongest, refresh and restore balance to the skin, without drying or peeling.
While AHAs are water-soluble and excellent for skin in which natural cell renewal has decreased (photoaging), BHAs are fat-soluble, perfect for skin congested with excess sebum, enlarged pores, acne and that cell renewal is not necessarily its main problem. Because they are oil-soluble, they are able to penetrate deeply into the pore to clean it. However, when used alone, BHA (salicylic acid) can dry out the skin, further aggravating problems and even causing more acne.
While salicylic acid is the featured ingredient in this formula, it's the high concentration of botanicals that nourish the skin's microbiome and make this formula much more than just a liquid BHA exfoliant.
Clear Skin Tonic also includes the natural antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Thyme, which feature heavily in the rest of our popular Clear Skin collection.
Licorice adds more anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties to this toner and has the added benefit of being a melanin inhibitor. As such, it helps reduce the pigmentation that acne can leave behind long after the swelling, redness, and discomfort have subsided.
Cypress, Barley (sprouted barley) and Solomon's Seal work in synergy as an anti-redness botanical complex, which also helps stimulate circulation and healing in the dermis.
Rounding out this formula are natural chamomile, arnica and cucumber, each of which is well known for its calming and soothing properties in topical applications. Arnica also works to promote healing and strengthen capillary walls.
By harnessing the power of these botanicals to calm and balance the skin's microbiome, while going deep into pores to remove excess oil and blockages, Clear Skin Tonic supports skin health both on the surface and deep down. As a result, the skin is clean, calm and velvety, with a semi-matte finish.
