XERIAL DM PSORIASIS

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition.

In other words, it is a lifelong condition that alternates between flare-up and remission phases. Psoriasis appears as hyperkeratinization (thickening of the skin) accompanied by inflammatory symptoms.

This results in the appearance of red plaques and thick white scales, usually accompanied by intense itching. The skin barrier weakens and the skin becomes dry. The symptoms impact quality of life. This impact can be exacerbated by the fact that psoriasis is surrounded by misconceptions such as it being caused by poor hygiene or that it is contagious.

These beliefs are clearly false.PSORIASIS XERIAL DM is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of psoriasis vulgaris. It contains high doses of dermatological active ingredients:

• A kerato-repair complex with 15% pure urea and a marine exopolysaccharide: This has a keratolytic action that reduces thick plaques and scales. The marine exopolysaccharide is derived from red algae from Brittany. This recognized active ingredient helps reduce scales while hydrating the skin.3

• 27% emollient agents including shea butter and Camelina sativa seed oil to soothe and protect the skinLAB16.26/N64

Apply twice a day in a thick layer to the affected areas of the face and body, making sure the skin is clean and dry first.

Apply directly to psoriasis lesions and gently massage. It can be used as an alternative to a topical corticosteroid treatment. Do not use for more than 30 days.

Warnings and precautions: PSORIASIS XERIAL DM is for external use only. If the problem persists, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the tube. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Shelf life: 12 months after opening. Store between 4°C and 22.5°C. Contraindications: Do not use in case of allergy to any of the components.

In the absence of data, Psoriasis XERIAL DM is not indicated for pregnant or breastfeeding women. For adult use only.

TIPS

When showering:
• Take a shower instead of a bath and avoid showers that are too hot (<36 °C).
• Do not stay too long in the shower or bath (20 minutes maximum).
• Use soap-free cleansers such as Topialyse Cleansing Oil (scented) or Topialyse Cleansing Balm (unscented).
After the shower:
• Dry your skin with a soft towel.
• Apply Psoriasis Xerial DM on clean, dry skin in areas affected by psoriasis.
• For the rest of the body, use your usual moisturizer on undamaged skin. Xerial 10 Lait hydrates and softens the skin.
Although psoriasis causes itching, it is important to try not to scratch psoriasis lesions. Five minutes of scratching can reactivate psoriasis for three weeks4.
Stress is one of the factors that can worsen psoriasis, but it is not a direct cause.
It is important to avoid stressful situations. If you feel overwhelmed by stress, try meditation and relaxation techniques to help you feel calmer.
